Matthew 9:11… “And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?” (KJV)
Why do so many Christians mutter when Jesus shows up in places we think He should avoid?
The psalmists always encouraged people to focus on what God has done and not on what God hasn’t done.
A bad case of “outa’s”? A lot of folks have this sickness. They are “outa” a job, “outa” fellowship, “outa” money, “outa” joy, “outa” sorts…
Many believers want the miracles of the book of Acts, but not the purity necessary.
God is in charge. In spite of all the tribulations that we see in the world today, remember this. God is in charge, not the devil. The kingdom of God is rising and the kingdom of the devil is falling. We are exhorted to wait for the coming of Christ, not the Antichrist. Jesus never did say, “Wait for the tribulation.” He did say, “Wait for the promise of the Father” (the Holy Spirit; see Luke 24:49, John 16:7-15).
It’s too bad that when Jesus makes His presence known, we seek to get Him to work for us rather than being willing to just worship Him. A lot of folks are more interested in His “presents” than His presence.
Faith… You get faith when God speaks. Faith doesn’t come by prayer, but in prayer God will speak, and what He speaks will bring faith (Romans 10:17).
