The Power Of God That Burns Within

The Holy Spirit said to me a week before this writing… ENTHUSIASM. “Look it up,” the Spirit said. “It is more than just being excited about something.” The word “enthusiasm” is from the Greek word enthousiasmos, formed from two words, en, meaning “within,” and theos, meaning “God.” “God within,” or “the presence of God within you.” God within your efforts, inspiration, God breathed upon, or a strong feeling of excitement and energy that is put within you by God. This “enthusiasm” is the power of God that burns within us. Job 32:8 reads, “There is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them [your spirit] understanding” (KJV). 1 Chronicles 28:9 reads, “And you, my son Solomon . . . serve him [God] with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind” (NIV). Ecclesiastes 9:10 reads, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might [enthusiasm] (KJV). Christian, the first source of energy for a God-given task is knowing God is in it and knowing you are to do it. Work with God-given enthusiasm. Note Hebrews 12:2“who for the joy [enthusiasm] that was set before him”… Christ finished the work the Father gave him to do.

Enthusiasm… is the power of God that burns within you. Use it or lose it. If you don’t have it, then you should get on your knees and pray for it.

Enthusiasm… is that certain “something” that makes us successful, that pulls us out of the mediocre and builds within us the power to finish.

Enthusiasm…. Lights up the face, puts a spring in your steps, and a song in your heart.

Enthusiasm… is the maker of friends, the producer of confidence. It makes you wake up and live.

Enthusiasm… If you have it, God gave it to you. Thank Him for it.
