The nation is going through some tough economic times. I felt a tug in my spirit that there are some who need to start their future. You have had plans; now is the time to start them. I remember an old saying, “Sow the seed. God can make it grow.” A seed is a tiny beginning with a big future. The talents you have been given are seeds that need to be used when tough times come. You are a warehouse full of seed. God has put seeds in you that have a big future. You can thrive in hard times. Successful businessmen are those who continue even in tough times. God gave Joseph and Daniel insight into dreams. Those interpretations led them to greatness, promotion, and financial security. God asked Moses, “What’s in your hand?” Moses said, “A rod” (Exodus 4:2). That rod became an instrument that worked miracles. David had a slingshot. It brought down Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Little things in your hand can birth great things. Elijah helped a woman start a small oil business (1 Kings 17). She moved from poverty to abundance.
There is something that you already have. It can create your future. Begin now. Believe now. Start small with what you have.
YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
Isaiah 63:16… “Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting” (KJV). The word “forsaken” came up into my spirit, then I discovered this verse. So often, we are treated as if we are nothing, forgotten by others, but God has not forgotten us. Sometimes others treat us as if we do not exist, but God knows that we exist. Note the words “though Abraham.” This refers to family. We are Abraham’s seed. Often our earthly ties are broken, but God’s love doesn’t change. When trials and troubles are all around us, God does not forsake us. The word Israel here represents those in authority. Often these do not recognize you, but God does. He is our unchanging friend, our Redeemer who is everlasting. Psalm 9:10 reads, “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee” (KJV; see also Psalm 37:25 and Isaiah 60:15). God wants to display His excellence through you.
