Jesus In The Temple

Luke 19:45-46… And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves” (KJV).

Matthew 21:13-14… “And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them” (KJV).

Jesus came and found wrong spirits in the temple. He cast them out. How is it that we try to hold on to them? Jesus had to purify the temple before it could be called the house of prayer where He could heal the sick and manifest His power. It’s His power that draws out praise and thanksgiving from the people to make it a house of  worship. If we want to see God’s glory in the house, four steps are necessary: purity, prayer, power, and praise.

Jesus Wants You Well

Exodus 23:25-26… “Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span” (NIV). That is God’s will for your life, and no one has the authority to change the will of God. The devil wants people focused on their diseases, so much so that they forget that Jesus is on their side to save them and to heal them. Psalm 69:30-33 teaches that when we praise the Lord and worship, God listens to a life in need and meets that need.
