Feed On God’s Faithfulness

Psalm 37:3… “Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness” (NKJV). The words “feed on His faithfulness” have been filling my spirit. Psalm 37 exhorts us not to fret and not to get riled up when we are going through a hurting time in our lives. King David was going through such a time, and he said, “I’m feeding on God’s faithfulness.” That’s what we are to do also. There are times when the mind breaks down in the lives of people and they think there is no way out. There is a way out… when you feed your spirit on God’s faithfulness.

1 Corinthians 1:9 teaches that God is faithful. He called us to fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ. Establish this in your heart. God is faithful. Repeat it again.

1 Corinthians 10:13… God is faithful, and He will not allow us to be tempted with more than we can handle. There is no temptation that is bigger than God’s ability to save you from it.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24… “Faithful is he that calleth you” (v. 24, KJV). It is He who keeps your spirit, soul, and body sanctified and pure. Many worry about being ready for His coming. Trust God. Commit your life to Him. He is faithful to keep you. If He called you… live clean before Him.

2 Thessalonians 3:3… The Lord is faithful, and He keeps you from evil, or from evils that try to destroy you. Our society is filled with many evils. He is faithful to protect you. God has no cruise missiles aimed at His people.

Revelation 19:11… The Lord is called “faithful and true.” He wars in righteousness. God doesn’t fight dirty.

Psalm 119:90… God’s faithfulness is unto all generations, for all age groups. That includes our generation too.

King David says, when going through difficult times, “I feed on God’s faithfulness.” That is what this message is asking you to do. Feed on God’s faithfulness. Are you hurting? Feed on God’s faithfulness. Begin by repeating this phrase in your heart, “God is faithful to me.” Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (KJV). Believe that God’s presence is with you every minute of the day. Believe that God has a plan for your life. Feed on God’s faithfulness, and you will finish your goals.
