Psalm 72

On October 5th of 2001, I had a dream-vision. The Lord was with me and said to me, “We are in for increased spiritual warfare,” and pointing to a minister that I know, I said, “You will be able to help many.” Since the terrorist attacks against this nation on that fateful morning of September 11th we are seeing warfare, both physical and political, but the greater war is the spiritual warfare. Our nation has changed. We are a different nation now. There is a lot of fear, and we are on the verge of becoming a police state. The battle of the ages is shaping up. The church must awaken. The believers must sharpen their weapons. The world has awakened to the dangers seen in extremist Islamic ideologies. I want to share a short message with you… that the Islamic people will turn to Christ.

Psalm 72:9-11… “Desert nomads will bow before him; his enemies will fall before him in the dust. The western kings of Tarshish and other distant lands will bring him tribute. The eastern kings of Sheba and Seba will bring him gifts. All kings will bow before him, and all nations will serve him” (NLT). The King James Version reads, “They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him and his enemies shall lick the dust.” The “nomads of the desert” were the Arab tribes, the sons of Ishmael. These tribes have now become great nations, nations that live in dry regions. Psalm 72 is talking about the spreading of Christ’s kingdom over all nations. The Lord has purposed to bring a harvest from every tribe and nation. The Islamic peoples will one day acknowledge that Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God and not Mohammed. The Muslim religion stands firm in their rejection of Jesus as the Son of God. Keep in mind that God loves the Arab nations (see Genesis 16 and Genesis 21).

The Lord in the dream-vision said, “We are in for increased spiritual warfare.” The battle is on, Christian. Take a good look at what the devil is doing, and then see what God will do and is doing. Right now the devil is working, putting fear in people. Fill your life with the works of the Holy Spirit. Proverbs 8:30 teaches that, just as the Holy Spirit was with Jesus as the master craftsman, He will stand beside you as well. If there is a vacuum in your life, pray more. Read and speak aloud the Scriptures. Proverbs 3:25-26 reads, “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken” (KJV).
